Period 3:
We decided to roughly plan out the main storyline of the video and condense it into scenes, here is a rough draft:
We also discussed certain things to do with each scene, for example the flashback where he loses his wife, she was initially going to be a girlfriend but we decided that this might of been hard to film as the scene would be in silence, therefore we decided that if it was his wife, we could use a shot of her throwing her ring at him as a symbolic ending of the relationship. The flashback of him losing his house was also initially supposed to be him bankrupt, but after toying with ideas of a gambling addiction (too hard to film as we are not 18 and would not be able to film in a casino), him handing over wads of cash (would be too repetitive) and him checking his bank balance (too boring, wouldn’t engage the audience) we decided that it would be much easier and would look more effective if he was to lose his house/ his ex wife has changed the locks and he sees her in the upstairs window with another man.
As a group we decided to narrow down our song choices and decide which would be the best to use for our music video, to do this we decided to create a pros and cons list for each of the 4 contenders.
Ed Sheeran - Drunk
Pro's:
- Engaging story line.
- Looks creative with a variety of shots
- makes an impact.
- People will want to watch the whole thing.
Cons:
- the other group didn’t like the song.
- With a variety of different shots and locations it could be complicated to shoot.
- We want the main shots to be shot in London, could be difficult to repeat shots.
Pegasus Bridge - Skinny
Pro's:
- other group liked the song
- would be easy to shoot
Cons:
- limited, only certain locations could be used
- could become repetitive
- not as engaging
- if performance was included we would need to find a band that would be willing to do it.
- could look amateur
Lucy Rose - Bikes
Pro's:
- would look really fun and creative
- fun to shoot
Cons:
- hard to repeat shots/do a second take
- logistics of getting everyone to do what you want
- filming running shots and on bikes, fluidly, would be difficult because we don’t have the technology.
- very weather dependant, would only look good on a sunny day
Express yourself - S.O.U.L
Pro's:
- would look really effective and fits with the song perfectly
- fun to shoot
Cons:
- might need extras to pose as strangers
- very dependent on the public
- the logistics of getting everyone in the right place and doing the right thing is virtually impossible.
- We would need stranger’s permission to film them.
In the end, weighing up all the possibilities, we have chosen ED SHEERAN - DRUNK
In this essay I am going to briefly analyse three CD covers and then choose one I will focus on and write about it in more depth. The three CD’s I have chosen are, Example “Playing in the Shadows”, Red Hot Chili Peppers “I’m With You” and David Guetta “Nothing But The Beat”. Examples genre of music is Hip Hop, Grime and Electro house; from the CD cover this isn’t easily recognisable as this. On the CD cover there isn’t really much that gives the genre away it is just a picture of Elliot Gleave on the front.Red Hot Chili Peppers album “I’m With You” is even harder to find the genre of. Red Hot Chili Peppers genre of music is funk rock, there album covers doesn’t give the audience the sense that this is anything to do with the genre, all that is displayed is a picture of a fly on a tablet even the name of the artist and song are very small and hidden. For a rock band you would expect things like dark colours, guitars etc on the front but this one is created and displayed in the form of art that doesn’t have a real meaning but is open to interpretation. Finally the last album by AC DC is called “Let There Be Rock” the genres of AC DC include hard rock, heavy metal, rock n roll. From the genre you would expect again for the cover to display some of the stereotypical instruments and be fairly dark, AC DC’s album cover has got all these conventions you would expect from that genre of music it includes all the basic things of heavy metal and rock n roll. As well as that the image also links in with the album name, “let there be rock” if from the religious saying “let there be light” they have managed to show the album image in a religious but rock way.
The CD I am going to choose to analyse more in depth is going to be Example “Playing In The Shadows”. They cover has been created in a very clever way, the album is called “Playing in the shadows” and Example is standing there with one half of him in the shadows and the other half outside the shadow which links in with the name of the album. Most of the cover has been made in very dull colours of different shades of black and white to create the shadow effect, then by making the album this colour they have been able to emphasis “Example” (stage name) in yellow being the brightest possible colour compared to black which grabs the audience’s attention first when they notice the cover. I believe they have done this because even though Example is a well known artist they still want the audience to walk past and notice it’s an album made by him which also explains why he has put an image of him on the front as well. The image of Example takes up the whole album cover as it does relate to the title of the album, “example” is written across his lower neck so it isn’t too low and can’t be seen but low enough it doesn’t cover his face. The size of the “example” isn’t as big as it could be but due to the fact it is in yellow box compared to a black background it is the most eye catching thing so the font doesn’t need to be as big. Then “playing in the shadows” is below “example” in a really small sized font but also stands out as its in white but doesn’t the emphasis away from “example”.The title of the album doesn’t really link in with his genre but example described the album as darker than previous ones, possibly the reason he decided to do the artwork like it is and call it “playing in the shadows”. I think the purpose of calling it that does suggest about his album now being darker and more different than his previous albums. However someone who didn’t know example probably wouldn’t be able to identify the genre from the album cover.
The image on the front takes up the whole album cover; the image is of the artist John Gleave (example) I believe they have done this to try and inform and attract potential customers to the CD. Obviously people who like example will be able to notice this CD much easier due to the fact that it’s got him on the front, whereas someone who might not know example as well still might be attracted to the CD from its unique and striking image on the front. The facial expression of the artist is very serious, this adds to the effect could relate to the fact that Elliot said this CD was going to be darker and possibly more serious than some of his other CD’s. His facial expression also ties in with the genre of music the CD is going to contain because it’s electro house, grime, dubstep it isn’t supposed to be funny, or amusing its meant to be serious which suggests why the artist has a serious expression on his face. The image is a mid close up, they have taken the photo up to the top of his arm but most of the image is focused on the face, this could be due to the point that they want to try and advertise the CD as best as they can by actually including the artist on the front. The image is completely in the centre of the cover and the angle of the shot is of eye angle it has been positioned this way so they can use the shadow more effectively if it is equal on both sides, this way he can be half in the shadow and half out and play with the title of the album “Playing In The Shadows”. The clothes the artist is wearing are very basic this is so the emphasis isn’t taken away from the image, if there was a striking logo or patterns on his clothes the primary image might not grab the attention of the audience in the way it’s supposed to. The hair on the artist has been done to make him look very smart, casual and well presented, having his hair like this helps recognise the e.g. the stereotypical rock album artist might have very long scruffy hair, where a stereotypical dubstep, hip hop and electro house artist looks much more well presented similar to this one.The background colours are black and white the same sort of colours as a shadow would be, on the face they have then swapped the colours around so it is easier for the effect to be seen as they are on contrasted colours. The only bit of iconography is that on the front of all his albums they have always displayed the world “example” on the front; however the style every time has been changed.
The back of the CD again is very effective and continues the whole “playing in the shadows” theme which makes the whole CD becoming very unique and different also very attractive and eye catching to the audience. The image on the front is different from the one on the back, in this image Example is mostly in the shadows but in the light are his eyes this again is very effective it seems that he has almost disappeared but then by having his eyes in the light shows he is still there “playing in the shadows” as the album title suggests. The colour on the background is completely white this time this is because most of the image on the front is dark and by having a light background allows the audience to easily see what they have tried to do with the artwork. They have used the same type of shot but this time been a bit closer up on the face as the emphasis is more on the eyes from where you can see him coming out of the shadow. It is very similar to the image at the front t help tie in with the genre. The track listing on the back is surprisingly small compared to some album covers, on the back it seems they have tried to emphasis the image on the back and due to image being so big the only place they could really put the writing was at the bottom. It all helps to sell the CD by playing on the theme by calling it “Playing In The Shadows” everything on the album case is all to do with the name of the album making it very effective.
The spine of the CD is quite basic compared to the rest of album cover however they do still stick to the same house style all over. The biggest problem I thought with the spine is that the writing on it isn’t big enough and doesn’t stand out enough. For example if just the spine was showing on a shelf then the customer is going to really struggle to spot it. It’s a very basic on the CD it is plain white with tiny black writing in the middle reading “Example Playing In The Shadows”. So compared to the rest of the CD it doesn’t seem as much work has gone into the spine. Even though it has been presented this way they have continued things like house style throughout and it actually works quite effectively.
Overall I feel that the CD cover front and back are very good, they are unique and different but if focused on them are very clever as well. I feel the spine is still quite effective but a bit more work could have possibly been done to make it more appealing. However I believe it serves its purpose of attracting customers very well. The image of example is used on the front and back so it clear to people who’s CD it is, they have also used the artists name and album name several times around the CD cover advertising the name of him but also the name of the CD very well on numerous occasions. Compared to most of his album covers I personally think this is the most effective purely for the fact they have created the album art work and edited the images to match the name of the album which I find very clever and appealing. There are mixed decisions on whether the size of album covers are better than the size of records. The standard size of a CD is 14cm wide, 12.5cm long and around 1cm in depth. Whereas a record was 12" and the cover was just big enough to fit the record in. So CD artwork was much smaller than record artwork, this obviously aloud much more artwork to be added compared to a CD album. With a record they could potentially spend more money on jazzing it up and making it more "art" this could be seen as unfair on some artist and music companies that don't have the money to spend, however a music company/artist with more money to spend on it and make it much more attractive than people that couldn't sound as much money on it. CD covers due to the size mean this doesn't happen anymore because people are so limited to the size they can work on. A lot of companies now use quite random but striking artwork an example being the red hot chili peppers album (at the top of the page) this is very random and quite simple but so effective.
1) Our target audience is quite wide, however we aim to focus on a teenage indie audience of both male and females. It's quite melow compared to some types of music, therefore it only appeals to these people who like this style of music.
2) The genre of the music video is folk rock/acoustic. The usual conventions of this genre would warrant a narrative or performace based video. Therefore we decided to combine the two and produce a narrative based video with elements of performance.
3) The typical conventions of this style of music would usually be a narrative or/and performance video never usually a concept. The video is nearly always storybased with bits of performance possibly performing at a gig or just in the background or foreground of the video as the story is happening.
4) We have decided to film a narrative video (trying to keep to the conventions of this style of music) but we have also decided during certain scenes of the story our artist will appear in the background in which he will performing. However the focus is never going to be on the artist it will always be on the story and what is happening.
5) The main character in our music video is a young successful banker in the city who over the course of the video looses the three most dearest things to him: money, his wife and his job. He uses drink to numb the pain. The artist also features occasionally throughout the video, although never in the foreground. Another character that is going to feature for a short amount of time will be his wife in the scene she appears in she is going to hand over some divorce papers as well as the ring signifying she wants to break up. Another character who'll appear will be the manager he or she is going to hand a box full of the main characters work essentials to him and make him sign a contract of termination.
6) We have several different locations where we are going to film our music video, the first location where the main character is sitting on a bench is going to be filmed at Parliament Hill in Hampstead Heath. For the next scene when the charcter wakes up in bed and goes down stairs to see his wife and the divorcement happens this will be filmed in one of houses. The scene in which he gets fired is going to be shot in Sarah's Dad's office which has allowed us to use.
7) There will be several different types of media institutes that would show our music video, one is going to be muisc chanels e.g. MTV Music on Sky or Music TV programmes like chanel 4 music etc another chanel might be something like indie rock which is also avaliable on sky. However due to the type of genre and it not just being indie there are lots of other chanels that would play this music another one being Kiss TV which plays hiphop, R&B and Dance but our genre of music has an element of hip hop in it. Our video would also be shown on the internet especially sites like youtube which most music videos will be put on.
8) Some media technologies will affect the consumption of music videos because they don't feel the need to show them and example being with Itunes where song will just be downloaded and thats what most people want is just to listen to the song. Obviously with something like the internet a music video can't be viewed either which will affect it. However there are still media technologies e.g. TV's in which usually play music on one of their channels which most of the time will play the music video with it.
Today in media we had to present our music videos to the class, whilst the other group were presenting there's we had to think about potential ideas for that music video they could use. In the other group we gave them some good ideas on what they could do and what song we thought had the most potential. When we presented the other group gave us some feed back which was:
Ed Sheeran-Drunk
For this song we all came up with the idea of flashbacks of a possible night before or a stressed businessman who has got drunk and we would film some of the things he gets up to when his drunk. There was also the idea of it being filmed in black and white as some members felt this suited the song better, we also got the idea that some of it could be shot as in its from a CCTV camera. Due to the rhythm of the song we felt the camera would constantly have to keep moving so there would be 360 degree shots. The final idea is we couild add some performace to the video as the artist sitting in the background or foreground playing a guitar.
Pegasus Bridg- Skinny
The feedback for this song was idea of the artist almost constantly following/looking/admiring a girl that he likes, this will then include close ups of the artist and in the background the women in different locations. Then there was also the idea that the artist could be invisible to the women.
Soul- Express Yourself
This song had one of the most positive feedbacks, we all came up with the idea of the artist being in different locations (possibly london) and walking up to random people with an "express yourself" sign the person would then react to this. The viewers would never get to see the sign until the end of the song. There was also an idea of almost like a pied piper theme where everyone would follow this character holding an "express yourself" sign, giving this happy and jolly atmosphere which matches the song.
Lucy Rose- Bikes
The last video also had very possitive feedback we came up with the idea of going on like a daytrip to a location but filming it in lots of different places e.g. lighthouse, sea, in the car etc. In the video there would be a big group of friends all on this day out enjoying themselves doing different things depending on what location they were at. Another option was instead of the beach was a fairground again the same principle of a group of friends going out. Some people felt the video should be very colourful and lively but also make tje video go through the times e.g. at the start of the video be early in the morning and then at the end it to be at night.
This lesson we watched some more music videos and looked more about the camera angles/type of shot, the different locations and how do able they are to do. Out of the three videos we noticed that we all have the ability to film videos similar to this as none of them use things like special effects.
These are the three videos we watched:
Day 2: 12/09/2011 We had all our members in the group today which was really useful as it meant we could all discuss the songs we were going to use for the music video. We wanted to get quite a mixture of different songs with different genres so we could have a wide range to look at and consider and not just limit ourselves to looking at one specific genre.
This is the list of songs we came up with:
Pegasus Bridge- Skinny
Ed Sheeran- Drunk
Soul- Express Yourself
Kate Nash- I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You
Today in media we experienced our first problem which was internet failure, due to this we watched and analysed previous videos that were made by year 13 students in 2008. In video one it was a performance and narrative our review on this was that it was to cheesy due to the fact it was a love based storyline in which it was performed poorly and to add there were various random scenes which were out of place and didn’t fit in with the type of video we were creating. The second video we viewed was a concept based video it was all videoed in London in which the majority of the shots were sped up. We felt it was a good video because it matched the song well and was different to all the others we had seen. One of the videos we watched was probably the worst out of them all purely because it bored us by the “cheesy” storyline and the choice of locations. They hadn’t been very creative and stuck to filming most of their music video in a school, providing a very dull and boring location. After watching few of the videos we decided we want to try and be a bit more different and inventive in where we choose to film but also considering having a more unique storyline than same boring love story.
The other thing we did this lesson was to produce a chart of all the free periods we have, with this information it shows us how much time we have to work on our video in school. The days highlighted in the red are the periods which we have as frees, by looking at the table it shows week B is one of the weeks we are going to try and do as much filming as possible. We are also going to try and do some work on the weekends however I work on the Saturday and Mike has football on the Sunday.
1) What do you think you learnt from the Britney planning, filming and editing experience? It could be specific things about making a music video OR general things about the production process.
I learnt a lot from the Britney experience, one main thing we found out was how long it took us to film each shot. Some of the shots we captured took the whole lesson (1 hour) but we also managed to capture a few shots in a lesson depending on what needed filming. We would have to plan our video much more than we did for the Britney especially so we can keep to the deadline. As well as this we are going to have to plan the video because in Britney we were following something that had already been created so it was a lot easier, starting from scratch will be much more time consuming and something we are going to have to consider. The other thing I learnt through this experience was once we filmed a couple of shots was to upload it straight on the computer, this would prevent work being lost, another problem we encountered whilst filming. I learnt how to edit through the Britney experience which I felt I picked up quite well and was quite good at it, however this was also a very time consuming process in which we are going to need to plan for. I didn’t participate in the singing of the video as it was all sung by a female so I didn’t learn much from that area except that this takes a while to get it just perfect with lip synching, not laughing etc. I took part in the videoing for a lot of the project and enjoyed the experience, I also learnt a lot from it like how to set the camera up, filming from different camera and other skills.
2) For you, what part of the process did you enjoy the most?
In the Britney project I really enjoyed the filming part and the editing role, I also enjoyed working with my group as we all had different skills that we could individually use to help us. I enjoyed the filming because it a fun part of the task and it made you feel more involved that just standing around watching the video being made. The editing section was the part I enjoyed the most and again I found it very interesting, It was quite confusing at the start but once I got the hang of it I felt that I picked it up really well and was actually quite good at it.
3) How do you think the work you have done will impact on your group project?
I believe the work I did will benefit the group project because I participated in some important areas which would quite essential in the whole video coming together. When we start our final project I will hopefully work in similar areas as I did for the Britney video and produce certain work that will benefit the group.
4) What were your particular strengths?
I felt that my particular strengths were communicating and working well with the group, in the project we were put into groups of three and we needed to all work well together as a team in order to get the work done we needed, I felt I worked well with the members in my group and consider this to be one of my strengths. Another strength I found I was quite good at was the editing, once all the filming or during the filming certain parts of the video needed to be cut, changed, adjusted and I felt I done well in this area and believe this to be one of my strengths.
The two videos I am analysing are ‘Stylo’ by Gorillaz and ‘Hypest Hype’ by Chase and Status featuring Temper T. Gorillaz style of music uses a mixture of different genres with a large number of influences including dub, hip hop, alternative rock, electronic and pop music where Chase and Status main type of genre is drum and bass. The Gorillaz band is created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett in which they created four animated members, the video of Stylo was directed by Jamie Hewlett. In the video the animated characters are in a car speeding down the desert then getting chased by the police and special guest Bruce Willis. The video has an element of performance in because the animated characters are lip syncing it, it also has some narrative in the video because it’s about the characters on the run from people however it’s not completely clear what the story is or what it’s completely about. Whereas with the Hypest Hype music video is just purely a performance video where it shows the artists Chase and Status and Temper T performing on stage The camera show the artists performing but also the crowd and how crazy it is there.
Through Stylo there are a couple of close ups on the car of where the animated characters are singing, but they do use other cameras to show the artists during the music video. At the start of the video it takes about 45 seconds to actually reveal the artists as one of them removes his mask, they also use close ups on the bumper of the car which reads ‘Stylo’ (the name of the song). Using these animated characters in their video makes it unusual and different but also using a narrative based video helps to sell it because it’s more entertaining for the audience which could potentially attract them to the song and make them want to purchase it. The image of the band is quite strange, I think they’re trying to be seen as different and unique compared to any of the other bands that exist at the moment and I feel by using videos like this help that. Another video/song Gorillaz have performed is ‘On Melancholy Hill’ which again is very similar to ‘Stylo’. They use the animated characters but this time in an animated world, they are portrayed as quite bad characters as they always seem to have guns and weapons shown in both videos by them, which could be a motif that links to all their videos. In Hypest Hype they again use close ups like ‘Stylo’ to shown the artists performing, again sometimes they use long shot and straight cuts to change to different views. The image that comes across is that they’re crazy; one of the members is constantly jumping up and down and quite early on throws his t-shirt into the crowd. By making the video look crazy and insane it attracts this type of audience and is a great selling point for this track. In previous videos by chase and status there isn't something in them like a motif most of their videos they always seem to change and be slightly different from the previous.
In Stylo there isn’t really much relationship between the lyrics and the visuals, what they are singing about doesn't tend to match what is happening in the music video. An example of this is when they sing the lyrics “electric is love” and one of the passengers in the car is shooting at a police car. Another example is when a car that is chasing them smashes through an advertising board whilst the lyrics are singing “up through the bottom in your eyes” the lyrics in the song don’t really have any relationship with the video. Where even though there isn't a narrative in hypest hype video some of the lyrics actually match the way there performing with the camera, an example of this is when he sings “every time I go to the rave” whilst singing them lines the camera use a long and wide shot to show the crowd raving. However because there isn't really a narrative to go with the video there isn't really much relationship the lyrics have with the video. Gorillaz, Stylo do some good cuts to the beat of music a few times during the video giving a good effect, one they do is where it sings “love electricity, shock wave central” but when they start singing it cuts to the speakers moving giving the sense its being spoken from the speakers. They also use another important cut in the video by in which the camera doesn't show the performers until it drops into the lyrics their singing again providing us with a good effect. The camera changes to how the main performer is singing e.g. when he leans out the car the camera changes to a mid shot but behind the car so the audience know who’s singing, Hypest hype does this as well where there normally just singing and then when it drops it cuts to the crowd and then to them performing. The pace in Hypest Hype changes dramatically from where it is quite slow and they are quite calm until it drops and then the pace of the song changes massively.
In Stylo there is no sense at all that the artists is on sexual display due to various reasons, one being that they are animated characters and they couldn't be used as a sexual way to sell the song. Again there they don’t use camera work, costume, dance or others to imply sexualised display because, again the main reason being they are animated characters and by trying to display them in this way wouldn't have worked. However they do use other references such as the camera looking through the window onto the characters giving us the conscious impression we/they are being watched, they use this a few time around the vehicle through the different windows of the car. The other camera shot is where ‘Bruce Willis’ is shooting at the characters and the camera is inside their car looking out of the eyes of one of the animated characters. Whereas in Hypest Hype early on in the video we see Tempz (one of the artists) walking around without his t-shirt and again when he is performing he removes it and throws it into the crowd revealing his toned upper body this could be seen as sexual reference however I don’t feel that they are using it or he is a sexual object in order to sell it. Due to the video being a performance we there isn't really other references unlike Stylo.
In Stylo there are inter-textual references, we see a guest appearance from Bruce Willis who appears after they shoot at a police car, meaning that he could be a policeman, this relates to most of the films he stars in as he nearly always play a policeman. It is a very random appearance though because there are no lyrics in the song we suggest it’s him pr anything about him. Gorillaz did bring out a song called Clint Eastwood which doesn't star him in but does include lyrics that relate to him: “I’ve got sunshine in a bag” which was taken from the Western film “The Good the Bad and the Ugly” in which Clint Eastwood is referring to a saddle bag of gold. Which means that we can tell Gorillaz tends to use this quite often. Hypest Hype is quite similar to a lot of stage performance videos; however in this one because they performed at a few different venues the video of them performing isn't at the same place all the time. There are a couple of famous stars that are in it before they start singing this includes Tinnie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal etc this is used because they were also at the same venue performing as this band were. This doesn't compare to other music videos performed by this band/artist.
Gorillaz genre of music falls in to alternative hip-hop and alternative rock; however in the music video “Stylo” these genres aren't really shown very clearly. The video is so random and unpredictable that the audience wouldn't really be able to link it in with the genre of music they play. Chase and Status’s genre of music is Drum and Bass, Dub step and a bit of hip-hop, in Hypest Hype the genre is actually shown much more clearly than that of “Stylo”. In the video it shows the crowd going crazy, all the flashing lights at the gig and the artists and how they are performing, by showing it this way the genre is much easier to identify.
In conclusion I felt that Gorillaz, Stylo is quite an effective video in terms of entertainment due to it being quite different with a slight element of concept but with also the sense of narrative and the performance overall makes it entertaining to the audience. I don’t really feel though that it was a selling point for the song. By seeing the animated characters in the video though could potentially be a selling point for the song. I do feel it is quite effective but because it doesn't really make that much sense it isn’t as effective as it could be. Hypest Hype is a totally different type of video it is effective and entertaining in its own way, based on purely a performance it allows us to see the crowd and how they are reacting to the song, for example this song they are all raving and 'moshing’ which could be a selling point for the song or furthermore a selling point for their gigs or performances. I don’t feel the video is possibly as entertaining as Stylo because it is purely a performance but it still entertains us in a different way.
The first song I chose is Sandstorm by Darude this reminds me of my childhood because when I was really young me and my cousin got taken to a firework display for the first time and this is the song that was playing in the background. At this age I wasn’t interested in music but I remember hearing this and really enjoying it.
Early Teen Usher-Burn
The second song I have chosen is Burn by Usher wasn’t very interested in music early on but when I was about 13/14 I got one of my first music CD’s and the track I really enjoyed and played over and over.I enjoyed it because it was really catchy and a good song to sing a long to.
Now
Steve Angello- Knas
My third and final song is Knas by Steve Angelo, it’s a song that I will probably always remember is Knas because it was the first song main song I listened to in my car after I passed. One of my friends burnt it on a disk for me and nearly every time we are driving we always seem to play it. I really enjoy the song because even though it’s quite a basic and repetitive tune it is really catchy. Due to this every time I listen to this song either on my ipod or radio in my car, it always reminds me of driving.

-The main characters are all dressed very casual
-All the lighting is made very natural so it is more realistic

-Some of the props he uses are quite significant to what his singing e.g. when he mentions about his watches he then holds one up to look at the time

-The pace is quite fast through the video then in certain places they use slow motion
